Streamflow levels of note: Water Supply Operations Summary: Flood management period began on December 1 and ends on April 1 for all reservoirs except Anderson and Coyote. The flood management period for Anderson and Coyote reservoirs ends April 30. Division of Safety of Dams (DSOD) storage restrictions are in effect at all times. All releases from reservoirs are for water supply and environmental purposes. Almaden, Anderson, Calero, Coyote, and Guadalupe reservoirs are below DSOD restrictions.
Reservoir Storage Levels of Note: Watershed Field Operations Update: No incidents reported. Water Utility Field Operations Update: No incidents reported. Sandbag Sites Stocked: Sandbag sites will be open from late November through April. Overnight Monitoring: No update. Interagency Coordination: No update. Public Information: Information on district activities, including sandbags, is being disseminated to the community through news media inquires and the water district's web site. Residents are encouraged to make sure their storm drain inlets are clear of leaves and other blockages so that rainwater can flow into the storm drain system, rather than backing up and causing street flooding. Residents who spot downed trees or other creek blockages are encouraged to report that information to the water districts watershed hotline (408) 265-2607 ext. 2378 during business hours or use the Access Valley Water online reporting system at www.valleywater.org Residents are advised that sandbags are most effective when used to prevent flooding from one-foot-or-less of water from entering a home or business through doorways and garage door openings; and are cautioned to take only 20 to 30 bags per vehicle Sandbag sites run by the water district cities or the county, are operated on the honor system as a flood protection service to residents.
