| Background
The District was awarded CALFED watershed Grant for developing watershed
stewardship plans in Guadalupe, West Valley, and Lower Peninsula.
Early 2002, the District completed its first
stewardship plan for the Coyote Watershed, using staff
resources, consultant services and a special work group of the Santa
Clara Basin Watershed Management Initiative, Flooding Management
Subgroup. On February 25, 2002, District staff conducted a lessons
learned exercise with the WMI stakeholders, District staff and consultants.
The lessons learned will be integrated.
